My Story
I grew up in an environment where chaos and unpredictability were the norm. As the oldest of three girls, I grew up feeling responsible for keeping the peace and holding the pieces together. I often felt afraid and alone and did what I could to keep my sisters from feeling the same.
My parents married young and started a family right away. My mom was young, caring for three kids under the age of four. I don’t remember my dad being around much, partly because he worked and also because he was out drinking or with friends, but I do remember my mom codependent, alone, and often sad.
At just four years old, I was already helping with my baby sisters, trying to keep everything together and be the good girl. Growing up in an unpredictable environment taught me to stay alert, to sense every shift in mood or tone. I learned to take responsibility for everyone else’s needs, while quietly setting my own aside. A codependent trait I learned throughout my years at home.
By the time I was a teenager, I had already mastered how to survive in unpredictable environments. I learned to stay hyper-aware, often disconnecting from my emotions just to cope. When my parents separated at 17, I felt both devastated and relieved. It was as if the world I knew had fallen apart, yet a small part of me could finally breathe.
Around the age of 18, I finally set out on my own, searching for freedom, stability, and a place that felt safe and different from the chaos I grew up in. But what I found was that I kept repeating the same familiar patterns; choosing love I had to earn, losing myself in relationships, and mistaking self-sacrifice for worth. I had this belief that giving everything was the only way to be enough.
I married young and almost immediately, our family began to grow. One child became two, two became three, and over the years I was blessed with nine incredible children, each one a gift and a teacher in my journey of love, growth, and resilience. Being a mom brought me a kind of joy I had never known before. I poured every ounce of myself into my family. On the outside, I looked strong and capable, but inside, I felt invisible. I loved deeply, yet somewhere along the way, I had completely lost myself.
Life felt comfortable. I, raising my children as a stay-at-home mom, and I took pride in the love and care I gave my family every day. In 2022 my youngest began kindergarten, the quiet of the house left me alone with feelings I had been avoiding for years. My marriage began to fall apart, and before I knew it, everything I thought my life was — my home, my family, my routine felt like it was slipping through my fingers. Then came the words that shattered my world. The moment when my husband asked for a divorce.
That season became my dark night of the soul. I lost my home, my marriage, and the security of having my children with me every day. For a time, I was living out of my car, I remember lying in my backseat crying wondering how everything fell apart so quickly and how I ended up here. The roles that had defined me as wife, mother, caretaker were suddenly gone, and I didn’t know who I was without them.
It was in the depths of that pain, something inside me knew giving up was not an option. stir, a quiet whisper that said, Everything you are going through is not for nothing. It will be used for good there is a purpose a reason, keep going, don’t give up!
And so I choose to keep believing in myself. I began
I began the slow, tender work of healing and loving the parts of me I had abandoned. I spoke to the little girl inside who had always tried to hold it all together. I learned to set boundaries, to listen to my body, to use my voice, and to honor my truth Through somatic healing, inner child work, and breathwork, I began to reconnect with myself in ways I never had before. Each breath became an act of reclaiming my power. Each moment of stillness reminded me that I am whole, even in my brokenness.
Today, I am no longer that woman who felt she had to earn love by sacrificing herself. I am a mother, a coach, a guide, and a woman who has walked through the fire and found peace on the other side.
Now, I help other women who feel lost, unseen, or disconnected — women who have spent their lives caring for everyone else — to come home to themselves. To release codependency, to rediscover their worth, and to create a life rooted in self-love, authenticity, and inner freedom.
Because I know what it’s like to lose yourself…and I know what it takes to come home.
